News from China Kingho Qinghai Corporation (correspondent: Hou Yanan) In mid-August 2012,the GM of China Kingho Qinghai Corporation, Ding Ping, received a letter from Yu Xiaoyu, a graduate pathology student of High Altitude Medicine Research Center of Medical College of Qinghai University. Yu Xiaoyu’s sister, Yu Xiaodan was suffering from lymphatic leukemia and needed a bone marrow transplant. Due to family difficulties it is difficult for them to pay the high medical costs, so her brother wrote the letter for help. After investigation and verification by the HR Department, the company confirmed the situation. In order to better fulfill corporate social responsibility, and establish a good corporate social image, the company decided to give charity donation for Xiaodan.

September 26, 2012, the chairman of the company union and HR manager, Wang Jun, and other two comrades went to the Red Cross of Qinghai Province to donate and hold a ceremony. People attended the ceremony included CPC Committee member and vice president of Qinghai Province Red Cross, Wu Youzhen, and Mr. Wang, director of the Red Cross Publicity Liaison Department of Qinghai Province.

On behalf of Ding Ping, Wang Jun gave the money to Yu Xiaoyu and asked in detail about the conditions of Yu Xiaodan. He encouraged her to strengthen confidence to overcome the disease since there are so many people concerned about and helped her, he believed that she could ride out the storm and have a healthy future again.

Yu Xiaodan's brother said, “when my sister was hospitalized and we were unable to bear the huge cost of treatment, I just tried to write to Mr. Ding Ping. I did not expect that China Kingho Qinghai Corporation would immediately make the decision to make a donation for my sister, which had brought hope back to us. For its righteous deed, donating money for needy strangers, I do not know how to express my gratitude but to say thank you! I am here on behalf of my sister to express my heartfelt thanks to the leadership and staff of China Kingho Qinghai Corporation. ‘Though illness is merciless, there is love, through thick and thin, we are always ready to help others.’ In the future, my sister and I will make China Kingho Qinghai Corporation as an example, study hard and help people as long as we can, to be useful persons to society.”

By the end of donation ceremony, Mr. Wu had given high marks on contributions made by China Kingho Qinghai Corporation during donations to Qinghai and Sichuan earthquakes.
